A Suja Weekend

I've been a little obsessed lately.
Obsessed with learning about how to make my body the healthiest it can be.
What nutrients I need,
what foods I should be eating,
and the crap to stay away from.

After reading endless amounts of blogs,
watching 3 documentaries on Netflix,
and googling,
I found out our body is desperately craving vitamins and nutrients that we aren't getting.

But after watching the documentary,
Fat Sick and Nearly Dead,
and also with researching the company Suja,
I finally realized what I needed was a juice cleanse.
And not that crazy lemon, cayenne pepper and maple syrup cleanse.
A real fruits and vegetables juice cleanse.
So I embarked on this journey with Suja.

Suja is a company that offers Organic, Raw, Cold Pressed Juices.
I decided to start with the 3 day cleanse,
basically I knew my body needed more than a 1 day cleanse,
but I was positive I wouldn't be able to complete the 5 day cleanse.
And Hey,
It's only 3 days right!?

So my juices arrived on Friday and I got started on Saturday morning.
Started my day off with warm water and lemon and a shot of apple cider vinegar,
I usually do this anyways,
cleanse or no cleanse.

I consumed the first 2 juices in the morning,
and surprisingly didn't feel hungry.
Lunch and dinner went on as normal and only a little hunger hit around 4 pm.
Nothing I couldn't handle.
But then dessert came,
the vanilla cloud juice.
Can we say delicious!
I could drink that every single day for the rest of my life!

Day 2 was similarly easy.
The only change was when I was hungry for dinner time,
I ate a sweet potato with cinnamon and tiny bit of honey.
Still no crazy hunger pains.
My fiance has said I'm a tad more irritable though.
Ha!
Oh well!

So today marks the final day of the cleanse,
and surprisingly,
I feel amazing.
It wasn't hard to complete at all.
And I feel like I accomplished a great thing.
I know this has been amazing for my body,
shocking it with the nutrients its been begging me for.

Now my metabolism is rebooted,
my digestive system is clear,
I no longer crave sugar,
and I'm ready to continue on this healthy lifestyle.

  2. These look much better than some of the other juice cleanses I've seen. Besides the vanilla dessert one, how did they taste?

    1. They actually tasted pretty good. It starts off more fruity then goes into more veggies as the day progresses... so for example... the breakfast juice tastes like a minty apple juice, then the lunch and dinner ones are still fruity but have more veggies in them. My favorite is their fuel juice... it has apples, carrots, pineapple, oranges, and a few others. That's their mid morning snack juice

  3. Stopping by from the linkup and I'm now a follower :) I'm intrigued by this cleanse...I've had friends do 'juicing' and it looked and smelled disgusting haha so since that looks like vitamin water it might be something I could work with!!!
