A Mother's Love...

Today is one of those days where I look at my son,

I take a deep breath,

and I thank God.

 

The tragedy that has rocked our world today in Conneticut

is heart renching.

As a mother,

I can not even imagine the type of pain that parents and families

have faced today.

 

You wake up a happy family,

send your children off to school,

hoping and praying that they are safe,

and then tragedy strikes.

 

I can't begin to imgine getting a call that my son's school had been involved in a shooting.

I can't begin to imgine the feelings that flood your heart and mind,

Is my child okay,

Was my child involved?

 

And speeding,

as fast as humanly possible,

disregarding anything else,

heart racing,

tears pouring,

just praying,

"Please God,

Please"

 

And for those families to get the news that their loved ones didn't make it through this tragedy,

my heart aches for them.

 

These innocents,

These precious gifts from God caught in a cross fire.

 

I just can't imagine...

 

 

Tonight I hold my son tight,

Tonight I tell my son I love him even more than I already do.

And tonight,

 

I thank God,

for allowing me to know a mother's love.
