Let me paint a picture...
Body before baby:
I was in shape,
I prided myself on working out a few days a week.
I could rock a bathing suit and feel okay about it.
I still had things I wanted to work on,
but I didn't really stress on having the perfect body.
But then when I was pregnant:
My motto was bring on the brownies,
bring on the frozen yogurt,
and especially bring on the five guys burgers.
UM Delicious.
So now take that before baby body,
and add 40 pounds to it,
and you get pregnancy body.
Yes I will admit it,
I gained 40 pounds while pregnant with Wyatt.
And now
like many other women do,
I'm struggling with my "new" body after baby.
Stretch marks,
saggy skins,
and expanded hips that came out of no where,
is what I'm working with these days.
So there are days I wake up and look in the mirror,
and think,
ohhhh geez,
I need to work on this.
Since when did my "cute" belly button look like a gapping hole?
But there are also days where I am like,
can I go back to eating brownies and sitting my butt on the couch please?
But everyone has told me...
It took 9 months to put it on,
It's going to take 9 months to take it off.
It gets hard to accept that sometimes.
I'm impatient!
But I guess that's normal to expect it to take a while,
Unless you are a victoria secret model!
That's another thing!
How are we supposed to be okay with our new bodies and be patient with getting our old ones back,
when you have these psycho wonder women in the magazines,
that are back in their pre pregnancy clothes a whole 2 weeks after they push out their little ones?
Not fair!
Oh well,
Like I said,
It's a work in progress!
Don't punish yourself. Unless you're a celebrity with a team of chefs and fitness gurus dedicated to getting you a rockin new body it'll take time =)My son is six..SIX and just last week I finally admitted to myself that no matter how much I exercise my hips will not shrink. Having a baby spreads them. They just don't go back. So for six years I've shoved them into jeans that are a size too small thinking if I skipped a few donuts and jogged a bit more they would once again fit perfectly. So it took me this long to go buy jeans that actually fit comfortably. My baby weight has long been gone...but these hips are here to stay. I'm finally okay with that lol
