Arizona and The Flight From Hell

Finally back from Arizona!
But I think I'm traumatized from here on out about airplane rides.
Now let me just say,
I've never been scared to fly.
But last night was just plain scary.

Everything seemed great coming into Houston from Phoenix.
Boarded on time and was ready to go.
Pilot then proceeds to come on the intercom and tell us that the Houston airport is closed.
Closed due to storms and we will get another update in 30 mins,
oh and did I mention no one was allowed off the plane.

So we sat there.
For a hour and a half.
At the gate.
Strike One!

After finally being released.
Everything seemed normal.
Until we got into Texas.
You could see out the window a wall of black clouds.
And we were going straight into it.

I felt like I was on a roller coaster gone seriously wrong.
Bumping up and down and dropping serious altitude.
I felt the chunks forming in my throat every 5 seconds.
It was so scary,
that I grabbed my mothers arm.
Strike 2

I even had to pull down the window shade to stop looking at all the lighting we were flying by.
So finally after feeling like I'm going to throat up on my nearest patron,
we land.

After landing, Mr. Pilot comes back on the intercom.
We don't have a gate to go to so we have to sit and wait.
On the tarmac
FOR ANOTHER HOUR.

Cue clasterphobia,
Cue panic attack!
No joke!
Strike 3...
I'm out of here!

I think I'll be staying on the ground for now on.

Anyways...

So my trip to Arizona,

I went to Phoenix for work,
but drove over to Sedona for a little R&R with my momma!

Sedona is absolutely gorgeous,
and surprisingly not super hot!

Great weekend trip for sure,
plenty of shopping, views, and great patios for drinking that prickly pear margarita...(only 4 more months!)

We stayed at the Sedona Rouge Hotel,
were the views from our balcony
did not disappoint!

Gorg right!?
I mean we definitely don't have anything like this in Houston!

I would show you guys my purchases from Sedona,
BUT
that would just give away the gender of our little one.
Momma went a little crazy here!

But back to Sedona,
the coolest thing we did there was the Pink Jeep Tour.
I totally recommend this.
We took the Ancient Ruins tour,
were they load you on this pink jeep (hence the name)
and off road you to an old indian ruin site.
Some pretty cool stuff.

This site dates back to 1200 A.D.
and those drawings on the wall were make with the indians own blood.
Gross I know.

But it was really cool and informative.
Not to mention the amazing views you get!

So over all Arizona was a success!
Loved spending time with my momma.
She deserved a little vaca.

So thanks for a great trip Arizona!
