I'll admit it,
I've eaten way too much junk in my life,
burgers,
fries,
cupcakes,
oreos (a personal weakness).
And I'll admit,
it was all delicious!
But I've come to realize,
that when you put crap in your body,
you'll feel like crap.
Less energy,
more sluggish,
hitting the 2pm crash in the office.
Maybe it's the fact that I'm chasing a 7 month old around and have to dig up sources of energy from nowhere.
But something amazing happened when I started taking notice of what I put in my body.
This is what I've been up to.
For the past couple of weeks I started eating better,
eating berries and greek yogurt or all natural whip cream instead of dessert,
basically eliminating red meat from my diet,
eating more veggies,
not consuming carbs like I used to,
and chugging water whenever I get a craving
(personally obsessed with La Croix).
But the amazing thing is,
I've had so much more energy.
I haven't needed coffee like I used to.
And when I mean needed it,
I mean had one to two cups when I woke up,
and probably another at the office,
and then maybe a stop at starbucks after lunch.
I woke up this morning,
and felt actually energized.
Crazy thing.
I've always been told this but if you stop putting that processed crap in your body,
your body will thank you for it.
You'll be less bloated,
have more energy,
and your skin looks and feels better,
and who doesn't want that?!
And that great thing is,
when your body feels better,
you feel better,
you have more confidence to strut your stuff.
And lets be honest,
we all could use a little boost to our self esteem around bikini season!
It's so so true!
