Okay so I thought I had it all planned out.
I thought I was being sweet and cute,
and everything you're supposed to be on Valentines Day.
Let me just tell you.
Nothing went the way I wanted it to.
I attempted to make red velvet (Justin's favorite)
cake pops.
Uhhh
Yea not so much.
Forgot to freeze the cake pops and they all fell apart in two seconds.
Then,
I thought I was being cute when I purchased his Valentines Day Card.
Only to find out.
I BOUGHT THE SAME CARD LAST YEAR!
No joke!
Then I attempted to make a cute dinner,
pork tenderloin, with salad and potatoes au gratin.
All hand made people.
But as dinner was cooking the fire alarm goes off and the oven starts billowing smoke into our house.
Cool,
Just setting the house on fire.
Didn't really work out how I had planned.
But my adorable fiance,
took it all in stride,
and acted as if it was no big deal.
Even shoveling down the half not cooked, half burnt food I made.
After of course walking in the door with these gorgeous things.
I picked a good one ladies!
But anyways.
One thing that I thought I kinda pulled off was my Valentines Day craft.
"I'm hooked on you"
Candy Jar filled with sour gummy worms and swedish fish.
Thanks Hobby Lobby for allowing me to get one thing right this year!
Here's hoping my next Valentines Day turns out better than this one!
You aren't alone, I set off the fire alarm last night too. I also completely filled my apartment with smoke while cooking the filets. But they ended up tasting just fine!
