I remember sitting in history class,
watching on the television,
not truly understanding what was happening.
All I knew is that my friends were being taken home early,
classes were canceled,
and the football game was not going to happen that night.
But I'll never forget,
where I was or
who I was with when I found out.
I urge everyone to take a minute to pause
and remember what happened on that fateful day.
Remember the ones who lost their lives,
Remember the hero's that emerged from the ashes,
and remember all those affected.
I was in my fine arts class when they made an announcement for all of the teachers to turn the tvs on. All day we just watched and watched. It breaks my heart every time I think of all of those people who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones. It's definitely a day I'll never forget.
