Dear Daddy,
(Yes I still call my Dad, Daddy)
As dashing as you are,
and I do know that it is 1986 in this picture,
But someone needs to let you know,
I don't think floral print shorts are the right look for you.
I know they are totally in style now,
for twenty something girls,
But lets just say I'm glad these didn't make the cut into your wardrobe today.
But in all seriousness,
Daddy,
Thank you for being the person who had such high expectations for me.
It's your tough love that made me the driven, successful career women I am today.
I remember growing up saying I wanted to be just like you when I got older.
Your support and love has meant the world to me.
Especially lately with all the life changes that have been going on in my life.
You are the hardest working man I know.
You start ever day from dawn to dusk and never sit down to rest until everything is taken care of.
I remember two days after you had shoulder surgery,
when you were out moving trees in the backyard,
because it needed to get done.
You have always worked so hard to support our family.
And at times we don't give you enough credit.
So thank you Daddy!
For all that you have done and continue to do.
You're pretty amazing!
I agree....YIKES on the floral shorts....Good God what was he thinking :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to say just how much you appreciate and love your dad!!
